My Back Hurt After I Fell

Not long ago, I fell while jogging. I was worried that I had sprained my ankle, but I was able to work through the pain and walk back to my car. I bandaged it as soon as I got home, knowing I would have to baby it. I went to bed early, and I was surprised when I woke up because it was my back that was hurting rather than my ankle. I had felt some discomfort but dismissed it. After two days of this pain, I decided to contact my San Jose chiropractor just to make sure that everything was okay.

I knew that it was possible that I just needed some time to let it heal properly, but I also knew that the fall could have caused some damage since the pain seemed to be getting worse rather than better. I am all about living a healthy lifestyle, so I did not want to resort to taking pain pills to feel better. To me, that is just masking the trouble instead of taking care of it. I was able to get an appointment right away with my chiropractor, which I was really happy about.

I go to him a few times a year to get adjustments done just for the sole reason that I know it is needed to feel my best every day. I was hoping that I would just need to have some adjustments to make this pain go away. I really did hope that I had just managed to get one of my vertebrae out of alignment, because that is an easy fix. As it turned out, that is exactly what was needed. I made a decision then to start getting my adjustments done a little more frequently too. I am getting older, and I can use all the help I can get to continue to feel good every day.
